We have a track record of successfully developing custom products such as power supplies and board-level systems, using in-house capabilities that benefit from exceptional facilities such as an EMC laboratory, quick-turn PCB production, CAD and specialist test equipment.

Our in-house, high-capacity, secure programming service operates in an ESD, temperature and humidity-controlled facility. We also offer services such as dry packing, vacuum sealing and labelling. Our logistics systems ensure the most efficient supply chain, offering a range of stocking and delivery services including bar coding, Kanban, JIT and ship to line services. Our world-wide delivery footprint is invaluable in helping our customers move from local preproduction to high-volume manufacturing in low-cost regions.

EMC FACILITIES

ACAL's 3 metre long EMC chamber at our Wokingham facility is a valuable resource to help customers develop compliant products and systems. We offer pre-compliance testing that reduces our customers’ design costs and cuts their time to market. The facility supports testing for conducted and radiated emissions and allow testing to EN55022, fast transient burst and electrostatic discharge immunity testing to EN61000, and harmonic measurement to EN61000-3-2.

ACAL FIBRE OPTIC UNIT

Provides design, repair, and fibre-optic cable assembly manufacturing services for military, aerospace, medical, and other harsh environment and mission critical applications. Acal’s Fibre-Optic Unit offers both physical contact, and expanded beam (lens) technology. With its fully equipped production facility and specialist team, the fibre optic unit can offer a complete bespoke service for mission applications whether military, aerospace, medical or harsh environment. Completed and fully tested assemblies can be supplied in a matter of days, or on site installation can be arranged where necessary.

PROGRAMMING

ACAL offers a full programming service for all Actel's antifuse and flash-based products that conform to ISO 9001-2008. This in-house service is fully antistatic with a monitored environment, and takes advantage of the latest software from Actel and BP Microsystems state-of-the-art concurrent programming hardware, providing a capacity of 30000 devices per month. We offer a quick turn-around service for prototyping as well as laser etched marking and tape and reeling services via our partners.

MANUFACTURING

Our skilled manufacturing teams have a variety of experience including PCB layout, SMD, copper and fibre-optic cabling, rack/enclosure manufacturing, and power supply construction. ACAL's manufacturing conforms to ISO 9001- 2008 ensuring both high quality and traceability. We also offer in house software installation, documentation,functional and soak testing to meet customers specific requirements.
